Position Overview

3rd shift: 10pm to 6am (starting Sunday night) with overtime

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NDT Trainee to join our team. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on training and foundational knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) within an industrial setting. Under the guidance of certified NDT Level 2 and Level 3 technicians, the trainee will support inspection activities and learn to perform NDT in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.

 

The NDT Trainee will be exposed to various inspection techniques and will progressively gain the skills required to perform inspections, interpret results, and document findings accurately and safely. Training in this location will be primarily focused on:

  • Radiography (X-ray) (RT)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist certified technicians during NDT inspections and learn to operate test equipment safely.
  • Observe and follow written procedures and verbal instructions related to inspection processes.
  • Accurately record inspection data and assist with report generation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Participate in classroom and on-the-job training to meet requirements for future certification.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and readiness to take on increased responsibility.

Education and Work Experience

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic math, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass background checks and meet any applicable site or regulatory requirements.

 

Preferred:

  • Previous exposure to industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing environments.
  • Interest in pursuing certification in NDT methods.

  • State ID required
